#1A- rewrite
"He is the only boy on the island whose hair never seemed to grow."(64)
The boys have been on the island for a long time and the *hair* is the main point that demonstrates how long they are have been stranded. Everyone and everything changes through time, but Piggy has not changed in the way he looks like everyone else has. His hair is still cut to perfection and he still is thinking of times when he was at home with his aunt. This symbolizes that he is different than everyone on the island. As Golding explains, he acts more mature and thinks differently than the others do at this point of the book. Piggy in the Lord of the Flies is different; whenever you are somewhere or doing something there is going to be one thing different then you are used to.

The boys have been trapped on this island for quit some time now and everything and everyone has changed in the way they look, except for Piggy. Golding explains that Piggy is the only boy on this island whose hair has not grown, Ralph's, Jacks' and even the grass has grown in the places the boys do not walk on. This symbolizes that Piggy is different than the rest of the group. He acts more mature than the others and thinks differently.
